By the will of unknown deities, Clyde is swiped from Earth and tossed into an anime world. He’s the declared the Stone aka main character. One day, he must kill the Viper, the antagonist. Too bad things aren’t exactly as black and white as that. The Stone is something much more…

This world and its inhabitants are real. It’s another dimension with a lot to explore.

This is the story of a young man’s evolution from college boy of Earth to godhood and beyond. The challenges stand ahead of him:  demons, monster girls, crazy yanderes, even a girl with maxed charisma. He never thought he’d ever see a magical girl…

A story of comedy, action, and going from weak to completely unstoppable. He is the system disruptor…

In a world where tropes are present, anime girls falling in love so easily, and city-wide issues intertwining with the main mission, Clyde must level up power and his mentality, RPG-style. He can no longer be that earthling. He will learn… whether he likes it or not.

Someone who breaks systems…Feared by the gods…

Bonus:  Volume 2's description:

The story continues, following the events of its predecessor.

In the anime world, Satovia, Clyde still battles the anime tropes, but no longer dances at the fingertips of the watchers. However, his friends have real issues, problems that intertwine with his own mission. Casting away selfishness, he finds himself awakening his real power.

The Anime Trope System volume 2 brings with it, humor, anime tropes and… yanderes, references, perverseness, and a lot of character development.

So, let’s level up and accidentally capture the hearts of anime girls while at it…

 -----------

Volume 3's description.

The Anime Trope System is back in a 3rd action-packed, humor-packed, adventure in Satovia. Clyde’s next threat comes in the form of a classmate. While her descent occurs, the young man must deal with hornets (the monster girl kind), prepare to meet up with vampires, and even depose Alice’s father, the demon lord, once and for all.December’s volume will make you wish to be a part of Clyde’s party. His evolution from college boy to leader still has a way to go. But…how long will the gods stand by while a new rival rapidly grows.?-----------

Volume 4's description.

It's festival time! All would be perfect, fun, competitive. Well, try telling the vampires not to crash the damn party.January's volume arrives, a fourth book containing Clyde and his amazing party, humor and ass-kicking, happy and sad moments. While Clyde continues to strengthen himself so that he wouldn't die to the Viper, figures and organizations begin to move in the background. Join again to accidentally capture more anime girl hearts and combat those tropes...

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Volume 5's description:

Ah, peace! Exams, a tiny break from the fighting, relaxation. Yeah, right. First of all, who left a certain potion in the fridge! Second, what will it take to get some common sense into the team ninja’s head. Clyde would like to know. Third, it is time to face a threat that has lurked in the city since volume 1…Clyde and his party is back in February’s issue, ready to dish out some fun in Satovia. Welcome to the fifth volume—and more anime shenanigans…

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Volume 6:

A questline mentioned in the very early volumes has finally pulled Clyde's interest. Niyoto. However, it isn't some side quest or filler. In this city, things will get very interesting. From being introduced to a quite frightening faction that claim to fight for the good of humanity, crazy cultists, a demon lord with a rather...different personality, the sixth volume comes in strong.Clyde and his party is back in March's issue to take a step toward the ultimate goal of being strong enough to defeat the Viper. And the anime tropes continue to show themselves. Do you believe in the heart of the cards?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Volume 9: stakes incredibly high, very intense! A dark volume. Can the team bounce through this?

Pretty damn good, if we ignore one glaring flaw.

This is the kinda story I've been looking for.
A Persona game in written form. It is fantastic.

Clyde, our mc, is your average pragmatic guy suddenly thrown into a world full of anime tropes. His reaction to this is fantastically normal. He's given some decent character development and his juggling of the harem system is great.

Our sidecharacters start out as cookie-cutter trope characters that slowly evolves into independent characters. Most of them are likeable and funny, though some can get a bit annoying simply because their tropes are annoying.

The writing style is really pleasant, with smooth flow. Feels like a more profesionally made Light Novel.

Can't really complain when it comes to grammar. As a non-native speaker I didn't really notice anything wrong.

With all that out of the way, it's time for the massive flaw. Spoiler ahead.

Spoiler: Spoiler

If that's not something that bothers you, I can really recommend this story. It is really well written and would have been great if it weren't for that one massive flaw.

This story has an interesting premise and is for the most part well executed.

Unfortunately there is one point that has caused me to drop this story in disgust.

In the story a male character is raped by a female. The other characters then tease him about this. This is used as a running joke by the author.

Rape in not a joke.

Rape victims are not a joke.

It does not matter that the victim is male.

Treating rape as a joke ruined what would otherwise be a fun story.

I am very dissapointed.

Cringe worthy and vaguely nauseating

Got about 60 chapters in and have dropped this like it was red hot.

Nothing wrong with the grammar and mechanics of writing. It is the characters and actions that drove me away.

I guess it was being true to the title, 'Anime Trope' and boy does it hit all the buttons and not even remotely in a good way. Whomever you are, you'll find something to squick you here.

Anime tropes with a pragmatic MC

What would you do if you got forced into an actual anime? With full knowledge of the BS tropes that will be thrown at you.

Work the angles, minimize the downs, and maximize the ups. Yandere girl? Check. Slow building harem trope that is not super compatible with aforementioned yandere? Check. Rapey monster girls? Check. Murderous demon abominations slowly taking over? Check. Exploit their weaknesses, and build your strength to survive what is basically a death game with anime style.

So far, has very few grammatical mistakes, and uses the tropes in an intelligent manner (my biggest fear going into this).

Characters are pretty well done- they basically all start out as tropes, but flesh out into layered characters fairly quickly.

Lots of action, fights with strong enemies. Overall one of the better stories on RR, hope the author continues.

Definitely looking forward to more as of volume 1 end.

P.S. Chika is the best girl

The MC is entertaining, to a point, but the story gets power creep really early and every major point of plot urgency is Deus Ex-ed to the extent that nothing seemed difficult for the MC outside of relationship problems.

I got to the middle of Volume 7 before stopping, it helped there were plenty of great steamy scenes to break it up, but how can I root for a hero who never fails or overcomes some obstacle greater than himself?

Wish this story was better, the premise is an interesting one, but in the end the plot and characters moved from tropes to cliches and now all that's left is something that could have been better.

You see a lot of fictions that use anime tropes, as well some that acknowledges certain situations as cliche.

But this is the first fiction I've read that not only has a world based around these tropes, but also has an MC who is very much aware of these tropes and tries his hardest to avoid some of the more unfortunate ones (to varying degrees of success).

The only criticism I have about this series is the amount of sexual assaults that occur (although I acknowledge that that's a reflection of hentai, which sadly uses sexual assault very liberally).

Aside from that issue, I'd recommend this series if you're a fan of protagonists that lean on the fourth wall, attractive anime ladies and tropes galore.

CRINGY BUT GOOD BUT STILL CRINGY

Let me explain my review for this story in as short as possible.

Its like seeing cosplayers doing a skit for a few minutes then said cosplayers started kissing each other and removing their clothes then started having sex, then they climaxed, stood up, faced the audience with a smile and bow then walk off the stage like nothing happened. And as you sat there trying to comprehend what the fck just happened, the next batch of cosplayers walks in and they are all in sailor moon uniforms. At this point, fck it im gonna stay and watch this unfold and enjoy it.

Interesting story with some flaws

Full disclosure I’ve only read up to Episode 7 Part 5 so take my review with a grain of salt, you might love this story; it just wasnt my cup of tea.

The review: Its an interesting story. A unique enough premise with an understanding of what kind of story it is. However, things just seem to happen with no explaination. Character’s pop up out of nowhere and become intimately entangled with the MC almost instantly. Girls fall in love with him just as fast as well and the world around the MC (things such as abilities and the other ability users) isnt fleshed out very well, at the moment at least.

Spoiler: Spoiler

Honestly, I’m being overly critical of this story (if you’ve read my rant). Its a good story in general with a plot thats unique enough and executed well enough to entertain you if you go into it with a light attitude to see past the various plot holes. Tbh my perspective of this novel is probably marred by the fact that I’ve read a much better execution of this kind of plot in The Novel’s Extra (a korean webnovel). But if you want rpg-style action in an anime world with a healthy dose of sex then I’d recommend this story.

If I ever come back to this story, I’ll update my review.

Also author please don’t feel discouraged by my review, you obviously have many readers who enjoy your story and your promise to never abondon this story is honestly admirable.
