Exactly what you always wanted

If you have ever read a LN that teases a brother/sister type relationship for 20 volumes and felt dissapointed and cheated, this is the story for you.

The Arc 1: Afterward covers a lot of why this novel is great, the authors ideas and motivations make for a wonderful story that fills the gap everyone wants.

The Fantasy Brocon x Siscon story for people of culture.

Very pleasant writing style.

Wincest is actually good for once, does not make one cringe.

Ero scene is a perfect balance of detail and lack thereof. Written with experience thankfully. No idiotic smut.

Interesting story and world building, although the duel at the beginning followed the trope a little too much.

All I can say is good job, and it will be unfortunate if author decides to drop the story like so many others.

This is my personal opinion after reading everything, feel free to like, dislike or ignore it.

The style of the writer is unique and it is pleasant to read it. Although the main issue I see is that the writer updates the chapters adding extra content such as "The oni OP battle" and you need to read everything again.

The story seems fair and it is enjoyable despite being incest. Also the comedy adds that extra point so you can like it. Also the writer has her ideas clear something I really like.

Grammar is pretty good and understandable. The writer despite not being native has an amazing grammar. However one issue I see is the use of really complex words, given by therasaurus i guess. Sometimes those complex words could be simple and the text would still be the same.

Character have their own personality and they dont suddenly twist and change their mood. The relationship between the siblings is fine I guess, its what the story focuses on after all.

Chloe Price

The storyteller may fall silent, the music may cease, but the story will not end. Be it tragedy or comedy, as long as there is applause, the story will not end. It is just like the multitude of human lives.

keep it up!laughing

For those turned off by incest, as far as I can tell it's more like inseki. They seemed to meet when children, under the same master, and "became" siblings.

Its a good story!

Was on the edge of my seat.

Extremely well written with a great format to top it off.

The characters are well developed and interconnected emotionally to give the reader a sense of feeling. I began to think the characters existed in real life and was upset that they don’t.

Conveyed a great message from the author to the reader.

The sexual scenes were respectful and not a porno, but rather an 18+ beautiful scene that I could enjoy.

I would recommend this to a friend.

Exactly what the target audience always wanted

Disclaimer:  I use a true 1-5 scale, meaning that a 2.5 is average.

I read up to the end of the first arc, per the author's request. If you enjoy incest and LNs like Irregular, you will probably like this. Go ahead and enjoy, as you are the target audience.

If you are not the target audience, that is where issues arise.

There is zero sense of intrigue in this. If you already know that the main characters are overpowered, you are not reading the story to find out plot twists and turns. You read the story because you want to see how they will use their powers to overcome adversity. This does not always mean there has to be a long, 20 page fight scene in order to keep the reader engaged. Sometimes it's a few lines, because there is an obvious way for the MC to win, and it reminds the reader that they are in fact, OP. I will say the fight scene in this was okay, and have no feedback one way or the other in regards to it, but there is a lack of intrigue because the characters seem cookie cutter. I'm not curious about what powers the Onii has because it's thoroughly explained to me. I'm curious about what powers Amae has, but that's only because it has yet to be explained. I would say that this could be somewhat fixed by removing the celestial eyes character, as it would mean that there has to be a community effort by the school to figure out what his power is, therefore involving the reader.

This is only one method to create intrigue, intrigue could have also been created by having Onii not rise to the occasion, and defend his sister. Having him do nothing would be far more interesting, as it would cause concern for the messenger, as well as the audience. 'Why didn't he just challenge the guy that slandered his sister?' There could have been many ways to handle that, but the common route was chosen. It may be in character, but the character is less interesting for it.

On the topic of the characters talking, it was mediocre. It served its purpose, but I think it could have been done better. The Amae/Onii brother/sister dynamic felt forced. They compliment each other in fighting styles, with her being a mage and him being a sword user, but that's almost where it stops. They don't have any kind of synergy that makes me enjoy their dialogue together, which should be a goal of the main pair. Fate/Stay Night with Shirou and Saber is an excellent example of this, where they have basically no chemistry. Amae and Onii are not that bad, but I'm basically just being told that they are lovey dovey brother/sister, and while they certainly make the effort to talk about it in public, their actions are strange in that department. Yes, there's a sex scene and yes, he stands up for her by dueling that guy, so it's not all tell. I'm sorry to say that I have no idea how to rectify this problem, aside from changing their character traits slightly.

The writing style is that of a stereotypical LN. It explains almost everything through narration or characters. There is very little not directly explained. This is the nature of the style, and while I think it's a bad one, it's obviously very popular, putting me in the minority. I think the story could do with less exposition-- at least from the narration. Aside from that it's fine, I have no complaints or feedback on way or the other.

The one thing I will give this story is that it is 'competently' written. I didn't see any major errors grammar wise, which makes my life easier when judging a story objectively.

The story itself seems cliche, but as I have only read the first arc, that may change. It did not do any favors towards making me want to read more of it, however. There were no twists on existing tropes to make me think otherwise, or at least I didn't notice them.

The characters, to sum up again, seem very basic. The teacher of 4F was the only character I thought looked somewhat interesting at face value. Amae and Onii are extremely basic, and basically exist for each other. Arguably that is the point, but it does not make them more interesting characters. It would make more sense to have them as side characters, with a different pair of siblings or MC taking the lead.

Except for one point-- grammar and writing competency-- I have basically bashed the story. Why? Because it is very hard to find good things to say about it. There's nothing compelling me to read, from the characters, to the writing style. But, I will make an effort as I believe that all things written have value.

The worldbuilding seems decent. It is unfortunately one of my weak points and I usually try to skim over it in my own writing, but as far as I can tell, thought was put into it and it is consistent so far. The characters had lives of their own before the school, such as the mage that dueled Onii receiving a scroll from his father-- a sort of nice touch to humanize them. The characters are tropes, yes, but in time that can be a strength, a way to lead on the audience and pull a fast one. For all I know, the hime character is actually lying, and poor as fuck, using her facade as a princess to try and forget her past. There is also an attempt at intrigue, with the epilogue. I will say that unfortunately it did not draw me in.

I'll go over my scores and explain them.

Style is 3.5 because I don't like the writing style, but you could definitely fool me into thinking this was a light novel.

Grammar is 4 because it is competently written with few objective mistakes.

The story is 2.5 since it seems average, there's nothing going on that I find interesting or out of the ordinary. I'm choosing story to be a 'plot' score.

The characters are by far the biggest travesty. It's a story about a siscon and brocon, and yet neither of them seem to be anything more than that. Their decisions don't seem interesting and the dialogue leaves something to be desired. As I said, I'm not sure how to make their relationship more interesting, it's a problem with the characters themselves and how they fit together.

In conclusion, it's a story that is perfect for the target audience. The characters are simple, but possibly they are meant to be that way. The plot is simple but possibly complex. I don't get the main characters' dynamic but maybe it's just me. As seen in the other reviews, there is clearly an audience of people that like this story.

But if you are not the target audience, it's unlikely this story is worth reading for you, unless you really like worldbuilding.

Final score:  2.5 average at best.

I'm not entirely sure why I read this, it isn't really a kink I am into but I was curious what could have gotten four stars with a title and summary like this one.  It is a lot less smutty than you'd think, and funnily enough, I think that detracts from it.  I'd call it an average action/adventure with incest elements rather an incest smut fiction with some action/adventure, and honestly, I think it should be one or the other.

Admittedly, I struggle to verbalise why.  As I am not really into "wincest" that certainly does not help me, but I am not really against it either (in the fictional sense) so I don't feel my odd feelings are related to that specifically.  I guess that the opening puts the smut forward as the main theme, and that there is a disconnect between that and the other themes of the story.

Or perhaps I am just thinking way too hard.

I'm giving my honest openion so firstly, this is a story of a sweet big brother loving his sister and in reverse. So I give a big applause for actually not teasing us like other stories do  and making their relationship very sweet and adorable to read, but that's not all.

The author doesn't just focus on the main relationship but also the background and world building which makes me very fond and a plus for me when authors do so. Of course with comedy and multiple name references to give you the smile.

The way the author writes is very simple and understanable for all to understand, but sometimes the author uses a rare word which not many people know. Which is quite fine for me but who am I to judge from someone who is still learning english and lacks in grammar and punctuations.

They add history, background knowledge, charater's thoughts and much more that makes the main idea of the story much more colorful and dynamic to read and as a reader enjoy to the fullest.

So in conclusion, I really enjoy this series very much and hope the author keep writing till the end. I really recommend this series to everyone who is fond of brother/sister type relationship with a mix of plot, fantasy and magic along the way.

But be warned if you don't like incest wincest and pretty much numb to the huge array and inexhaustibel content of fantsy then this is not for you sadly.
