"Hey, did you hear, the Wanderer is here?"

"The Thief of Treasure, the Hunter of Monsters, The Assassin of Kings?"

"Yeah! Capture the Cursed One, imagine the power..."

"I'm out. Anyone who crosses paths with him meets their bitter end."

Set in a Mad Max inspired fantasy world, the story centres around the supernatural adventures of the Mad Wanderer, Alphonsus. Haunted by the demonic beings of Wickeds and Horrors, the grim reputation of the Wanderer and his own conflict of what that means to him. Aided by nothing but his broken sword, he collects quest after quest, wandering the world of Ezo, fighting foes, fighting his calling and fighting himself.

Review (Did not read past Ch 1)

Review (Only read through chapter 1)

Style Score: 3.5/5

There is nothing wrong with the stile from a natural perspective, but in my personal opinion, it's not something I care for. For that reason, I am going to give it a 3.5.

Grammar Score: 3/5

In the long run, there was nothing super wrong with grammar or spelling, however, the author has several accounts though the chapter that felt Grammarly incorrect and prompted a minimal of two rereads to understand the sentence. This distraction made it difficult to stay invested in the story.

Story Score: 5/5

I am dropping a solid 5 here because the story itself does feel adventurous and interesting. While I may not care for the style, I did enjoy the concept of the story.

Character Score: 3/5

My biggest problem here comes down to the apparent lack of an MC. The start of this chapter gives me the impression that this Wanderer is supposed to be the MC, but then changes over to nobody for the middle and finally teases at a possible MC I am not sure will even be around for the next chapter? I have no idea who this story is supposed to be centered on. Furthermore, nothing makes me care about the characters we do meet. Nothing makes me invested in them to want to know more and truthfully it is a total buzz kill.

Therefore, with all this said, I am going to give this a 3.5 overall score. Please note that this is only one opinion and while I may not care much for the style, that does not mean you have a bad Idea and I, therefore, encourage that you continue this at your heart's content. All I would like to see is a more defined MC in the opening of this tale.

That said, I conclude my review.

Best Regards,
