Meet Threadbare. He is twelve inches tall, full of fluff, and really, really bad at being a hero. Magically animated and discarded by his maker as a failed experiment, he is saved by a little girl. But she's got problems of her own, and he might not be able to help her.

Fortunately for the little golem, he's quick to find allies, learn skills, gain levels, and survive horrible predicaments. Which is good, because his creator has a whole lot of enemies...

it's very well put together and all that but... i just can't get over the hump that is the beginning. the golem maker is supposed to be smart, but he seems like an idiot. the idea that golems can't join a party becuase they don't know what a 'yes' is, seems to never cross his mind despite supposedly trying to do this for months. and everything else that happens is just a string of coincidence and luck.

This is a real gem. The book is well thought out, very well written and to the author i say: Well played, sir!

After 70 chapters i have chosen to review this book, which is not something i do often. This book is VERY well written. The story is coherent and complete. The world- and characterbuilding is done flawlessly and the story has enough silly and tragic to make you laugh and cry with the characters. The characters have depth and personal growth, with individual quirks and personalities.
The world is complex and heartless, and our teddys quest to reunite with his little girl seems impossible at first. Yet with friends and the right attitude, (and ALOT of grindluck!), nothings impossible!

TLDR: Your emotions will be played with as you follow the teddybear who just wanted to be with his little girl. Instead he is sent on a grand quest of impossible proportions, connecting with old friends and new.

Cute story with a lot of heart

Nice MC, solid writing, interesting premise and world development. A bit too heavy on exposition and the human falls flat at times.

Reviewed at: The last not-a-chapter

So I've read a lot of books from a lot of genres.

This story didnt make me laugh, or cry. It didnt make me gasp

But I couldn't put it down, fascinating story, awesome world and so much potential.

Definitely worth a read.

The Armies Converge!

Read this story a while back, but its still fresh on my mind. An adorable tale about a horrendous plot. Unique twist which I really liked, can't wait for new chaps to finally come out! Honestly the little bear had no chance in my mind but by the powers invested in authors he shall survive !!!!

It's simply the greatest! The combination of cute, fluffiness and death is... to simply put it... fucking fantastically amazingly awesome!!!... Don't ask for the... not so simple answer... please... it'll take me like an hour to type.

I feel like this story deserves a review, I initially overlooked it, then it became the best rated story on Royal road. Now I understand why, the world is immersive, the characters colourful and the plot intruding. Also, I love Zuula
