Meet Threadbare. He is twelve inches tall, full of fluff, and really, really bad at being a hero. Magically animated and discarded by his maker as a failed experiment, he is saved by a little girl. But she's got problems of her own, and he might not be able to help her.

Fortunately for the little golem, he's quick to find allies, learn skills, gain levels, and survive horrible predicaments. Which is good, because his creator has a whole lot of enemies...

Really punny with a lot of heart!

When I started reading I just could not get my bearings. How could such a good story pawsibly be so bearied in the rankings when so many teddy-ous stories make their way to the top?

It's unbearable.

I think prospective readers should paws, maybe bearicade their doors, and get comfy. I could go on but I don't want to embearass myself.

Threadbare's here to save LITRPG (and the day)

Never really knew I wanted to read about a teddy bear until this. Seriously, you've got goblins, sneks, doggos and all sorts running around in litRPG nowadays, but you wouldn't think the adventures of a teddy bear that isn't some reincarnated human would be so readable.

I absolutely love this story. It's charming, it flows, and I absolutely have to know what happens next. It is the one and only story that I've added to my favorites.

Style -  It's a well thought LitRPG, that integrates the LitRPG elements well with the story.

Story - I'm writing this at the end of the firat arc, so I haven't seen where it's going. However, I'm rarely so heartbroken to catch up to as I have been with this one.

Grammar - Pretty much perfect. The occasional typo, but otherwise consistant.

Character - It has several major characters that are all wonderfully complete, and also very distinct. The minor characters are not as easy to remember or sympathize with, but they work well with the main ones.

This is (so far) a fun little read, I can only wish to see a teddy that's kicking ads and taking cuddles!!  wink. I hope that this has a long life as I'm quite taken with the cuddly little murderer.

This a great addition to the LitRPG genre. It's funny, lighthearted (but there are suggestions of things much darker in the stories future) and the game mechanics don't seem to be weighing down the story - yet. The story so far has been great.

Threadbear, Dreadbear, Murdery Mr. Cuddles

Welcome to Paddington Bear goes to Murder Town. The quaint story of an innocent and hardworking child and her curious little fluffy bloody bear unfeeling killing machine of a best friend.

It's got a good initial flow as the MC takes his first stumbling steps of life on the path to OP. Please give it the first three story arcs to ramp up. As the author starts introducing systems it just gets funnier and funnier.

If you ever wanted a cuddly version of Boxxy T. Morningwood from "Everybody Loves Large Chests" or Blacknail from "The Iron Teeth", then you're really going to love this one.

A Fun, Well-Crafted Story

A fun, well-written story with excellent world building. The system and the resulting world just make sense and you can see how things would work that way. If you're looking for an OP protagonist or amazingly rapid scaling this isn't the story for you. Our protagonist is a golem made from a Teddy Bear and the enemies faced are of an equally low standard. But if you ever wanted to read a story with a dungeon based entirely on Cat puns or cheer for a housecat and a sentient Teddy Bear as they overcome their differences to face a common foe (rats) as fellow warriors, then this is the fic for you.

First off, I want to say that I enjoy(ed) this story. It's definitely better than most on this site, though whether it deserves the no. 1 spot is debatable. Personally, I think it had the potential to be a lot better than it currently is. This is less of a review and more of a rant, so sorry about that.

Spoiler: Spoiler

Maybe I'm just being thick and not getting the light atmosphere at all, but I feel that certain elements of this story are just too incongruous for it to really work as well as it could.

Cute story with a lot of heart

Nice MC, solid writing, interesting premise and world development. A bit too heavy on exposition and the human falls flat at times.
