It's actually a decent read, im at chapter 30 at the time of writing this.
All the other reviews looked fake to be completely honest haha, all of the titles were one word and felt like bots but honestly this story is actually really good, a lot better than i expected.
The flow of the story is really good, it has a nice pace that's realistic but doesn't feel like a snooze fest either, i've also never felt too overwhelmed by the monster drops, exp rates or his skill list and character sheet like i have done in other stories where the author instantly starts the protagonist off earning tens of thousands of exp every chapter and with skill lists which could make a chapter a 1000 words by itself. It's pretty tame in that regards.
The plot at this point is actually really good, the world building is quite substantial and the author has done a very good job showcasing the world in all of it's inglorious luster. At this point in time the pace of the story feels like it's picking up a bit now with more plot threads opening up, however i feel like if the big thing he's currently worrying about - to do with his brother - ends im not sure what other things the author has in store but it feels like it could easily end very abruptly. Just know that the plot so far does seem very enticing!
4 and 1/2 stars, i haven't noticed any grammar mistakes so far but i think the only way you can get 5 stars is if you use advanced literary devices Anyway the grammar is superb and it will allow you to stay thoroughly invested in the story and the world around it.
Okay, seriously, these characters are so bloody well done it's ridiculous! The characters and the way their back stories are set up and just how the author writes them, this feels like a professional job! Really well done to the author, go a bit further with the mother though maybe, i hope she dies (not in a vindictive way) and i care enough about her character to make me feel legitimate sadness. If you could do something like that, then that there shows just how well done a character is.
Definitely worth the read, it's also getting updates quite often which is good news! Quality chapters and a high pace of release, you've always got to love that about a story you're reading. I implore you to try a couple of chapters and if you don't like it, no harm no foul but if you do want to carry on reading then i guess my review has done it's job!
Keep up the good worth author!
I really just want to die at this point. I wrote a long, nice review, and apparently when I logged in to post it, it deleted. So have a shorter, summed up version of this. I’m terrible at writing reviews anyway. Sorry it’s short, I’m just really lazy and would prefer not to retype the paragraphs I made.
The characters are well thought out and put together nicely. Their backstories are great as well, and as Funk said, (sorry for chopping your name), feel professional.
The grammar is on point, with little to no errors.
The plot I think, flows well, with so far, no major plot holes and things like that. Good pace, maybe a tiny bit faster than average, with, maybe it’s just my opinion, perhaps the leveling a bit too easy? It seems as even though he’s grinding for a long while with harder and harder monsters, and having this op? class, he just keeps going up and up, even at higher levels. I get the whole thing on why he’s going so hard and such, but still. Maybe it’s just me, so you can possibly disregard everything I just wrote. Good release times, which balances out the chapters slightly on the shorter end, which makes me want more.
Overall, fantastic story. The story has as of Chapter 30, has been very interesting and well written. Worth a read. Also, first page! That should bring a lot more attention to this. Imma just crawl back into my hole now. Bai.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a perfect balance of a good story with a fun filled and suspensful plot an the roots of fantasy games out there. This is the forth book/series I've read this specific type of book. This includes The Land by Aleron Kong, The Greenwood Chronicles and The Eternal wich I am almost done with. This, so far is the best I have read like this. It kept me up until 12:30 because I knew I HAD to finish this book, I really enjoyed it
Great writing and storyline. Highly recommended.
During the first few chapters it seems like it's going to be super cliche, but the author avoids quite a few of those. The story does get better, but there are quite a few problems I have with how believable the world is.
First, the MC is aiming to be a dodge tank. If you've ever played a game that requires you to actually dodge, you'll know that it takes certain talents that most players don't seem to have. There is a limit to training your reflexes, if you're born slow there's not much you can do. The MC seems to lack the perception and reaction to ever become good. I'm sure the plot will have him become the greatest dodge tank, but it doesn't make it any less believable.
Secondly, there are many inconsistencies with stats and currency. The story makes it seem like the only way the MC will ever get the money to pay for the operation is by killing a world boss. At level 10 or so, the MC and two others manage to take down a boss that gives them around 8-10k credits each. Just by leveling and farming non world bosses, he would be able to pay for the most expensive operation.
I get that this is supposed to be a story of an underdog overcoming the trials, but there's no way he's competent enough to make it believable. Especially if this game is what everyone is playing due to not being able to do much else. Too much wish-fufillment.
Despite all that, the story is written quite well and is enjoyable as long as the inconsistencies don't bother you.
Hey. This is my amazing review of -

Let's get right into it. I really enjoy this(these) novel(s). It manages to be fun and not take itself too seriously while at the same time having a pretty damn serious plot. I really enjoy how the author has fleshed out the world so far, and am looking forward to hearing more backstory to the post-apocalyptic world that he has created. Another thing I would like to acknowledge before I move on is how willing the author is to accept criticism and work with the readers to formulate a story that, while still in his vision is definitely a cut above the competition.
The grammar in this story is not by any means perfect. But it is certainly WAYYYY WAYYYYYYYY above this site's standards. (That is of course if we're counting the thousands of non-native English speakers who write in what I call "Engrishu".). The author's style is something I enjoy but, not something I really notice all that much as I immerse myself in the story.
Now onto the characters, which are in my opinion the weakest link in the story. The characters are not bad by any means. I just have a personal problem with how some of the characters act and sometimes feel mentally younger or older than they should be. Especially our main character. I do however understand that it is the author's choice on that matter as well as the factor of how sheltered some of the characters seem to be. (as you would if you lived underground your whole life.)
To wrap things up, I have very much enjoyed reading this and look forward to much more.

I’m really loving this story and am really interested to see where it is going.
Characters pull me in, and there is enough happening in the background to leave you in suspense.
Keep it coming!
I'm not one to review often so I'll keep it short.
This is largely VR at this point, and as someone who does not generally enjoy VR stories I was extremely surprised with how much I enjoy the story. What really does it for me is the fear that comes with death - having loot stolen, levels lost while being unable to reclaim it easily. For those of you who prefer fantasy for hvingactual life and death consequences I recommend this as a bridge between that and VR.
Story is well done, we have an overarching plot that is left mysterious with a few clues peppered throughout, as well as a bunch of subplots that keep you interested. Romance is present and is a pleasant side plot, I don't feel it detracted from the story at all. My one gripe was his levelling speed, I can understand killing things at a much higher level than himself might make it go quickly but it feels too fast at times...nonetheless this does push the plot along so it is easy to let slide.
This review was written as arc 2 has just been released, and I must say the second arc has me even more excited than the first.
Obligatory grammar statement: is good :D
BTW my first review WOOT!
Will do advanced review later. I had some concerns in the early few chapters about style and or forced writing, but I have steadily been being impressed with the writer's growth, and the development of the story's style
Good story, professional writing. Has a lot of things i like.
